About the event:
The Joint Committee on Structural Safety (JCSS) organized a two-half day workshop, on the 28th and 29th of January 2021, on the important topic of the Assessment of Existing Structures.
The aim of the workshop was to bring together leading researchers and practitioners to discuss the issues around appropriate and alternative assessment methodologies, incorporation of testing and monitoring data, code development and calibration etc. as well as to present examples of best practice from international participants.
A series of invited lectures on selected topics was delivered by industry and academic leaders, and were followed by moderated panel discussions. The event received great interest to those involved in this important area.
